Accomplishments to date
Your Mira Mesa Chamber of Commerce formed in the Fall of 2008. Here's what we've been working on and accomplished for our members and community with your help. Thank you for your support!
Your Chamber collaborates with most of the Mira Mesa community organizations, and beyond the Mira Mesa borders *
In 2010 will be taking on a larger role with local events and logistics, as many goals and projects are in the works.
In 2009, we worked with and/or supported:
- The Mira Mesa Women's Club's Chalk The Walk Event;
- The Mira Mesa Town Council with Casino Night, our 4th of July Celebration and Parade, and our annual MM Street Fair;
- Mira Mesa High School Foundation's 'Taste of Mira Mesa';
- Walgreen's Grand Opening;
- The UPS Store Grand Re-Opening at 9450 Mira Mesda Blvd. Ste B
- Mira Mesa High School and the MMHS Foundation to bring together the parties necessary to start our community farmer's market.
Mira Mesa Farmers Market
Your 2009 Mira Mesa Chamber board of Directors brought together the individuals and organizations that were needed to open and make your Mira Mesa Farmer's Market a reality.
The Mira Mesa Chamber of Commerce was proud to collaborate and present with Mira Mesa High School and their Foundation the Grand Opening of the Mira Mesa Farmers Market on Tuesday April 21, 2009. The Farmers Market is located in the front northeast lot of Mira Mesa High School on the corner of Regan Road and Mira Mesa Blvd.
The overwhelming response from our community made the Mira Mesa Farmers Market an instant success. The Farmers Market will be held in the same location each Tuesday from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m., while winter hours will be reduced to 3:00 – 6:00 p.m., daylight permitting. They are also closed during the month of January, 2010.
The Farmers Market features farm fresh vegetables, fruits & flowers, as well as specialty foods like; hummus, fresh fish, baked goods, cheeses, olive oils, and Kettle Corn. Future events will also have seasonal crafts and booths for community groups or selected non-profit organizations.
We invite you to attend and enjoy our farmer's market and make sure to bring your friends and neighbors to show your support of this community market. Look for us at the Mira Mesa Chamber of Commerce booth!
